Funding Authority: ARTEMIS Joint Undertaking

The goal of this project can be summarized as follows: "Provide European industry with new leading-edge innovation that will enable the production of advanced robust and safe cognitive, reasoning autonomous and co-operative robotic systems at reduced cost" [R3-COP Website].

I worked in this project during my Ph.D, on behalf of Polytechnic University of Marche and Thales Italia S.p.a. My duties concerned the development of Localization Algorithms for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles based on sensor fusion between inertial sensors and different ranging sensors. The developed localization algorithm have been developed as part of the Work Package 2.4: Communication and Localization, for which Thales Italia was responsible.
For the same project I also developed a Simulation Framework for Cooperative Robotics as part of the Work Package 6.1, for which Polytechnic University of Marche (Italy) was responsible. The simulator has been used by Latvia University for testing control systems for cooperative robotics. The final report of the R3-COP project can be found here.

Below, the Certification recognizing the work carried out by all the R3-COP partners.
